Preparation is key! - 12/16

We were giddy this morning driving to the DMV so E could take his learner's permit test. He'd studied the booklet a little and promised he knew all the road signs by heart. He said, "Mom, it's just common sense." Well, turns out you really do have to study to pass - and he didn't. YIKES! It was a quiet ride back home. Instead of saying "I told you so", I just said that he should use this experience as a learning moment and not get too upset and for goodness sake, DON'T compare yourself to others. He's bummed, but learned a little something about preparation.
