What an awesome day!

Today was one of those "pinch me" days. The kind of day that leaves you awestruck at all the beauty of this world. The kind of day that makes you grateful to be alive. We hiked along Flat Creek through the community of Montreat. This tranquil area has more than 2,500 acres of hiking trails, creeks, a lake, conference center, guest lodging and private college. We found their campground of 24 primitive sites and plan on going back in the spring to camp.
Here's a shot of the Assembly Inn that overlooks Lake Susan. The lake had a lone swan and some lingering ice from our last big snow.
When you enter Montreat, you pass through a stone archway. Here you'll find this sign that captures the essence of the property:
I got a little scrapping in on Friday. Most of the paper is Lily Bee with a bit of Basic Grey mixed in. I miss my little guy - sure wish they lived closer.
