Cool weather & hot tea

This is my favorite time of year - no doubt. There is a chill in the air and hot tea in my cup and I love it. It's almost November and today is the first day I actually thought we might turn the heat on, or better yet - build a big fire in the stove. I'm a huge Chai fan, but this year I'm going to mix it up a bit and drink Constant Comment. It's the perfect blend of oranges and spices, a bit milder than Chai.
On to music news. I only listen to one radio station (WNCW) and since my friend Melissa told me about the virtues of Shazam, I'm able to drive and capture the tunes I really love all at the same time. If you have a smart phone, give Shazam a try - it's wonderful. Recently, I heard a great song by Ray LaMontagne (Rock & Roll and Radio) and figured I really "needed" the whole album. Wow, just wow. I love his voice, his lyrics and the depth of his experiences - it's like you're traveling the journey with him. Check it out.
I scrapped a little last night. I'm loving the Basic Grey "basics whites" paper pack and have used it on so many layouts recently. It's really versatile - maybe should have purchased two packs??
Hard to believe it's been eight years since we took these crazy kids cross country to visit the Navajo people. What a great trip.
Journaling reads: 14 teenagers + 6 adults headed to Navajo Mountain, Utah for an amazing 10=day mission trip. This was our first group shop before hiking in Zion National Park. Unforgettable!
