Ah, October - one of my very favorite months. My Grandfather was born on the 11th of October and would have been 103 this year. He lived to 96. He started skydiving at 90, joined the Senior Olympics and was Santa Claus in the Macy's Parade once upon a time. He was and still is my hero. In honor of his birthday, my sister and I spend a week in Key West - just the two of us. This will be our 5th trip to the tiny island.
In other news, my son is on the cross-country team at school and is doing quite well. I'm not a runner, not even close - but he's found something that he enjoys and has met some great people along the way. On Sunday, we participated in a charity event to raise money for homeless pets. E ran the 5k and we walked the 1 mile fun route. I'm proud to say E came in 2nd in his age group. Way to go!!
We don't watch a lot of television - seems there is always something more productive and interesting to do. However, I'm absolutely hooked on The Tudors. Wow - can't get enough of the drama, deceit, grandeur, costumes, scenery, etc. The acting is really cheesy and the series is not historically accurate, but - wow!
Finally, I took a little time to create some goodness (thanks to Alexandra over at art scrap & more). I used some Bazzill Dotted Swiss cardstock, Lily Bee Lovely Parasol paper, Me & My Big Ideas paper, a couple of clear stamps and a few ancient Life's Journey stickers that I thought would never see the light of day. Thanks, Alexandra for the inspiration!

Thank YOU my Friend!
